On her Manolo Blahnik shoes... "I have every
pair I've ever owned or bought-I don't care if the heels look
silly or not. They're art. One day I'll teach my daughter-while
I'm teaching her to read and taking her to museums and telling
her not to watch TV-by telling her, 'Mommy bought her first pair
of Manolos at a boutique called Madeleine Gallet.' I have far
too many shoes. I mean, really, really, really too many shoes.
But I've done some traveling in my time, and taken a peek in people's
closets, and I'm very impressed by the number of shoes in American
homes."
